CAIRO – 2 September 2021: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion, launched a promotional campaign on September 1 that will last for a period of 27 days, through the various social media platforms of the Ministry and the Authority, to promote tourism to the Egyptian governorates, within the framework of the celebration of World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on September 27 annually.

The World Tourism Organization has identified the theme for this year's celebration as “Tourism for Inclusive Growth”.

CEO of the General Authority for Tourism Promotion Ahmed Youssef explained that the campaign will be launched by the ministry through its official and promotional websites on the various social media platforms.

The campaign aims to highlight the beauty of the 27 governorates in Egypt and the tourism patterns and products they offer by uploading a short video that reflects the richness and excellence of the Egyptian tourism product over the next 27 days, highlighting a different governorate every day until September 27.

Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for promotion Lamia Kamel indicated that the campaign targets a large segment of those interested in tourism and travel in the world as it will be launched in nearly 14 languages mainly in the markets exporting tourism to Egypt, to highlight Egypt's distinguished position as one of the leading global tourist destinations.
