CAIRO – 2 September 2021: On September 2, the mayor of the archaeological city of Cortona, Italy, received Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass, to speak about the recent archaeological discoveries in Egypt, especially the Golden City in Luxor.

 

 

 

The mayor of the city presented Hawass with a discussion of ways of cooperation between the Cortona City Museum and the Egyptian Museum.

 

 

 

The city is currently preparing a huge advertising campaign through various media outlets, announcing in most of its streets the visit of Zahi Hawass and the lecture he will give about the Lost Golden City in Luxor, which dates back to the reign of King Amenhotep III and continued to be used by King Tutankhamun, 3,000 years ago.

 

 

 

This visit comes within the framework of promoting Egyptian tourism and highlighting the precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Egypt to ensure the safety and security of all tourists.
