Artist Maya Din Wins Vocal Star Competition in LA

 

 

‘VocalStar’ win has sparked interest from Disney and several top record labels

Dubai born and raised Maya Din is already on her way to becoming a global star aged just 13,  after winning the prestigious VocalStar competition in Los Angeles, California.

 

 

The talented teenager won the “Best Performance Pre Teens” category of the VocalStar competition in July 2021.

She had five days of intensive boot camp, Q&A sessions, training and the final showcase in front of major record label heads. 

Maya worked long hours to fine-tune her vocals and performance. And the results were impressive, as Maya won her category and was then invited to perform at the live-streamed Gala event.

 

However, this amazing journey wasn’t without setbacks. The Covid-19 pandemic meant the program was postponed for eighteen months with a further setback two weeks prior to the competition when Maya lost her voice. 

The VocalStar show was created by George Caceres, who is a business developer, entrepreneur, #1 best-selling author and film producer.

As a result of the VocalStar competition win, the future looks bright for Maya. She has been approached by various agents, record labels and casting directors representing the likes of Disney & Nickelodeon.

 

 

 

 

About Maya Din

The Dubai born and raised artist first fell in love with music at the age of four, whilst in Australia when she was introduced to the violin during a school music lesson. Maya continued to play the violin up until the time she moved back to Dubai in 2014. Looking for something new to learn in Dubai, she tried out for ‘performing arts and dance’ and instantly fell in love with the feeling of being on a stage. Maya has gone on to win her category at the prestigious VocalStar in Los Angeles, opening up the world to this ambitious and talented teenager with big dreams.
