CAIRO – 18 August 2021: On August 17, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled El-Enani presided over a lengthy workshop attended by members of the GEM’s board of directors, specialists in the ministry, officials and representatives of the Hassan Allam coalition -which won the provision and operation of services in the museum.

 

 

 

The workshop targeted reviewing and discussing the strategy of operating the services in the museum, to reach the plan that allows the provision of services in a manner that befits the giant cultural and tourist edifice.

 

 

 

The workshop was also attended by General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the surrounding area Atef Moftah, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri, Assistant Minister for Archaeological Affairs at the Museum Al-Tayeb Abbas, among others.

 

 

 

Hassan Allam coalition officials and representatives began the workshop with a detailed presentation reviewing the strategy of operating services in the museum to ensure its readiness for the official opening.

 

 

 

Moreover, the museum's various marketing mechanisms were discussed, including creating a website, social networking pages and a mobile application, in addition to organizing cultural and educational activities, to achieve the highest promotional return for the Grand Egyptian Museum.
