Yerevan Int'l Film Festival to screen documentary on Egyptian Armenians

CAIRO, July 8 (MENA) – A documentary on Egyptian Armenians will be screened during Yerevan International Film Festival which kicked off in the Armenian capital on Saturday, Egypt’s ambassador to Armenia has said.

The movie will show how the Egyptian Armenians lived in Egypt for centuries and their contributions in the political, cultural, social and economic life in the country, Ambassador Tarek Maaty said.

The screening of the film comes as part of celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

A regular flight was launched between the two countries a few days ago.

The festival will run until July 16.
