CAIRO – 12 July 2021: For four days in Cairo and Alexandria, Fursan al-Sharq Troupe [Knights of the East Troupe for Heritage] will present the show "Isis of the East", on July 14, 15 at 8 p.m. in Cairo Opera House, and on July 17, 18 at 8 p.m. in Alexandria Opera House's Sayed Darwish Theater.

The show deals with the legend of the marriage of Geb, the god of the earth, and Nut, the goddess of heaven, that led to the birth of Isis and Osiris and the marriage of various other ancient Egyptian deities.

It is worth mentioning that the Fursan al-Sharq Ensemble, under the supervision of their artistic director Essam Ezzat, was established by the Ministry of Culture in 2009 with the aim of drawing inspiration from the Egyptian and Arab heritage and reformulating it artistically through innovative kinetic designs and tabloids of a popular and historical dramatic character.
