CAIRO – 8 July 2021: Under the patronage of President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi, and to complement the success of the presidential initiative “Industrialist of Egypt”, Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem announced the opening of applications for the third edition of the initiative, which will be held at the Heritage Crafts Center in Fustat as of July 10.

Abdel Dayem said that the initiative contributed to restoring traditional and heritage crafts, in addition to creating a new generation of skilled craftsmen trained by a group of individuals whom acquire significant scientific and practical expertise.

Moreover, Abdel Dayem noted that the initiative aims to preserve the Egyptian identity as one of the axes of Egypt's 2030 strategy for sustainable development.

She further explained that the graduates of the initiative participated with their distinguished works in many specialized exhibitions that were recently held, including “Our Heritage” exhibition organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and “Diyaruna” exhibition organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

The initiative promotes the unique elements of Egypt’s civilization, creating an enabling environment that stimulates the creativity and innovation that would guarantee the survival of the Egyptian heritage on both the material and moral levels.
