Egypt’s star Ahmed Hatem breaks the Guinness World Records 100 x 50 m Swimming Relay

CAIRO - 5 July 2021: Aside from his glamorous acting career, Ahmed Hatem has achieved a new milestone in the world of sports.

 

 

Through being part of Egypt’s national swimming team, Ahmed Hatem broke the Guinness World Records 100 x 50 m Swimming Relay.

 

 

The event is organized by Spoctane, in collaboration with the Egyptian Swimming FederationEgypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, and New Giza Sports Club. 

Egypt’s national team, which includes 100 swimmers from different Egyptian cities, took part in the Fastest 100 x 50 m Swimming Relay competition, which is held by the Guinness World Records. Previously, in 2019, the fastest 100 x 50 m Swimming Relay was 43 min 32.36 sec and was achieved by the British national swimming team.

 

 

This year, Egypt’s national swimming team achieved 42 min 12 sec and entered the Guinness book of world records. 

Along with several other skills, Ahmed Hatem has mastered swimming since childhood and won a number of championships.

 

In concurrence with the Guinness World Records 100 x 50 m Swimming Relay, Ahmed Hatem’s TV Series Leh La'a, which he stars opposite Menna Shalaby is now streaming on Shahid platform.

 

The series has become Egypt’s most-watched work on Shahid.

Hatem’s latest works include TV Series Shaqa 6, headlined by Ruby and directed by Mahmoud Kamel, and Hadi El Bagouri’s anticipated romantic film Qamar 14 (Full Moon), which is headlined by a stellar cast of stars.

 

It also includes Mohamed Bakir’s romantic film Arosty alongside Jamila Awad and Ahmed Nader Galal’s war film El Serb that is written by Amr Abdel Halim.
