CAIRO – 28 June 2021: After the June 30 revolution, all sectors of the Egyptian state witnessed development and restoration processes, including cultural facilities and buildings.

Among these previously- mentioned facilities was the Cinema Culture Palace.

The palace is located in Garden City, Cairo Governorate. The restoration project was started on Dec. 5, 2016 and was completed on June 27, 2019. The total development cost LE 29 million.

The Cinema Culture Palace was established in 1989. Operations in the palace came to a halt in 2016 to develop and provide it with civil protection means.

It is a villa with an area of 1500 m2, and can host up to 244 spectators. It includes a ground floor that contains a plateau, a control room for audio recording, and four administrative offices, in addition to a number of service and civil protection rooms.

As for the first floor, it is divided into two cinema halls, control rooms and a reception hall. The second floor includes a public library and a cinema hall. The roof of the palace contains a summer cinema hall.

The palace offers various cultural programs: film screenings, literature clubs, art shows, research seminars and training courses.
