Egypt’s Wust El Balad band to perform at Cairo Jazz Club on June 16

CAIRO - 11 June 2021: Famed Egyptian band Wust El Balad to perform at Cairo Jazz Club on June 16.

 

The band is expected to perform a selection of songs from their album “Bantalony el-Jeans” (My jeans) that was released early 2018 after a three year hiatus since their previous album “karakib” (scribbles). 

 

Famed Egyptian band Wust El-Balad  performed at Cairo Opera House on September 25, 2020 after a long hiatus due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.

 


 

Wust El-Balad performed at the Roman Theater in Alexandria on July 26, 2019 as part of Cairo Opera House annual Summer festival. 



Wust El-Balad is an Egyptian Soft rock band, founded in Cairo in 1999.

 

The band released four albums; the self-titled "Wust El-Balad" in 2007, “Rubabekya” (old items) in 2011, "Karakib"(scribbles) in 2014, and "Bantalony el-Jeans" (my jeans) in 2018. 

The band is creating soft rock tunes, blending traditional Arabic sounds with modern and western tunes. 

Wust El Balad consists of Adham al-Saeed, Hany Adel, Ahmed Omran, Ahmed Omar, Asaad Nessim, Ehab Abdel Hameed (Bob) and Mohammed Gamal al-Din (Mizo). 

Wust El Balad cooperated with the famous Sharmoofers on April 21, 2017 in a concert in Zamalek, which was attended by thousands of their fans and performed as part of the 15th International Summer Festival.
