More than 65% of Tutankhamun treasures are placed in Grand Egyptian Museum

CAIRO - 8 June 2021: Dr Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, visited on June 7,  the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) to follow up on the progress of work in the display scenario of the atrium, the grand staircase and the two galleries of Tutankhamun.
 
 
 
100% of the installation work of the artifacts in the atrium and the grand staircase is complete and the fine restoration of the artifacts is currently taking place.
 
 
All showcases are installed in their places in the galleries of Tutankhamun (107 showcases coming from Germany and Italy).
 
 
In addition to that,  more than 65% of the treasures of the Boy King are placed in 65 of the showcases according to the set display scenario.
 
Seeing the progress of work in the Museum, the Minister thanked everyone working there for their diligence to finish this magnificent, world class Museum on time.
