Board of Egypt’s Grand Museum convenes to review work progress

CAIRO – 3 June 2021: The Board of the Grand Egyptian Museum convened earlier in June to review work progress at the museum. The meeting was chaired by Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Enany.

 

 

 

General Supervisor of the project of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the surrounding area Atef Miftah presented the progress in the engineering work in the museum. 

 

 

 

Also, Miftah screened a video on the methodology used to transfer King Khufu’s Solar Boat from the Giza Pyramids to the museum. He also briefed the board members on the construction work of building in which the boat will be displayed.

 

 

 

Miftah  added that the security system of the museum is of the highest level and its technology provides the highest international safety standards. 

 

 

 

The board decided to form a committee to follow up on the implementation of the contract with the alliance that will provide and operate services at the museum to ensure international standards in the quality of services provided.
