CAIRO – 2 June 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Enani convened with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt Yevhen Mykytenko, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the field of tourism between both countries. 

 

 

 

Ukraine was the second market exporting inbound tourism to Egypt  before the global pandemic, and was one of the first countries whose tourists came to Egypt after the resumption of inbound tourism early July 2020.

 

 

 

The Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Mykytenko praised the ongoing support of the government of Egypt to the tourism sector, the vaccinations of workers in the sector, as well as the strict implementation of hygiene safety measures. He added that Egypt is one the most important touristic destinations to Ukrainians.
