CAIRO – 24 May 2021: On May 24 at 8 p.m., the Small Theater of the Cairo Opera House will host a contemporary music concert entitled "The Meeting of the Danube with the Nile", organized by the Austrian Institute in cooperation with the Opera House.

 

 

 

During the concert, a team of seven distinguished musicians will present contemporary musical works by award-winning Egyptian-Austrian composer Amr Okba and his students Nader Nagy and Rosella Adel.

 

 

 

In his widely acclaimed musical compositions, Amr Okba blends East and West with refined artistic prowess.

 

 

 

Okba’s works have been presented by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra, the Austrian Orchestra for Contemporary Music, and others.

 

 

 

It is worth mentioning that Okba studied at the Mozarteum and Graz University of Music and Arts in Austria.
