CAIRO – 24 May 2021: The return of mobile theaters across the governorates of Egypt was the ideal solution to the problem of the limited number of theaters affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, to support artistic teams nationwide.

Within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to achieve cultural justice, the Ministry of Culture received six mobile theaters, through which it is set to present various types of creativity in the remotest and neediest areas in Egypt.

Theaters were distributed among the six main cultural regions, namely Greater Cairo, North Upper Egypt, Central Upper Egypt, South Upper Egypt, West Delta, East Delta, the Canal and Sinai.

As part of the Decent Life Initiative, the Mobile Theaters Project presented 66 cultural activities, including literary and artistic workshops, theatrical performances, plastic exhibitions and educational seminars in three governorates, namely Beheira, Assiut and Aswan.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Culture has prepared a project to participate in the Decent Life initiative that includes performances of the Confrontation and Wandering Theater, and the mobile theater shows that are presented free of charge to the people of villages.
