Egyptian artists mourn the death of young TV host Amr Samir

CAIRO – 6 July 2017: Egyptian actors and artists mourn the death of young actor and TV host of ‘Shababeek’ TV show, Amr Samir, who died of a heart attack late Wednesday.

Screenwriter of ‘Shababeek’ Haitham Dabbour mourned the actor’s death by posting a memorable picture of both Samir and Dabbour on his official Facebook account dating back to 12 year ago.

Among the prominent actors mourning his death on social media were Ahmed el-Sakka, Elham Shaheen, Khaled el-Sawy, Mai Kassab, Nashwa Mostafa, media person Rami Radwan, Khaled Selim, and poet/ singer Ayman Bahgat Amar.

Establishing his acting career at 10 years of age, Amr Samir took over his first acting role in El Katl El Laziz (Indulging Murder) and later in Awdet El Nadala (Return of the Rascal) starring Abla Kamel. He pursued his career as a TV host after applying for a TV host competition organized by Melody channel.

The young TV host/actor is well known for hosting youth-targeted TV show ‘Shababeek’. Samir has also participated in drama TV series such as Gedar El Alb (Wall of the Heart), Kadyet Ra’ey Aam (Public Opinion Case), and Mazag El Kheir (The Good Mood), according to his biography on Elcinema.
