CAIRO – 8 April 2021: A specialized training course on the study of archaeological pottery began at the Cairo and Giza Training Center in Saqqara affiliated to the Central Training Unit at the Office of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

 

The course will resume for a week.

 

This training course came within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities represented by the Central Training Unit of the Minister’s Office and the Polish Institute of Antiquities in Egypt to organize workshops for archaeologists from the ministry’s employees.

 

 

The course aims to raise the efficiency of archaeologists working in the ministry and create cadres in specializations such as studying the history of archaeological pottery, within the framework of the ministry’s plan to raise the efficiency of its workers and museums and archaeological sites nationwide.

 

 

It is noteworthy that the first workshop was held in cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities and the Polish Institute of Archeology in Egypt for inspectors of Islamic and Coptic antiquities, researchers in biological archeology and restoration specialists in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Fayoum and Beni Suef.
