332 BC - The founding of the Egyptian city of Alexandria.

 

1922 - The first air collision in the history of civil aviation between two French and English planes over Picardy, north of Paris. All of the 7 passengers and crew members died.

 

1948 - The founding of the World Health Organization.

 

1994 - The beginning of the genocide in Rwanda.
