Egypt’s Opera House to hold 27 Ramadan concerts in Cairo, Alexandria & Damanhour

CAIRO – 6 April 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem approved the artistic and cultural program of the Egyptian Opera House during the holy month of Ramadan, which will be  held on opera theaters in Cairo, Alexandria and Damanhour.

 

 

 

President of Egypt’s Opera House Magdy Saber said that the program is being implemented under the supervision of President of the Artistic House of Music, Opera and Ballet Khaled Dagher, and includes 27 performances, all of which will start at 9:30 p.m.

 

 

 

Saber pointed out that the Ramadan Nights program includes 10 concerts at the Fountain Theater, which witnesses for the first time opera evenings during the holy month, which are performed by the star Mohamed Mounir, Nessma Abdel Aziz, Talent Development Center (The Big Night Show), military music, Medhat Saleh, Dina el-Wedidi, Nouran Abu Talib, the vocalist Yassin al-Tohami, in addition to the Tunisian Galia Ben Ali and the Hadara Troupe for Sufi Chanting.

 

 

 

The Small Theater also hosts 3 Islamic evenings that include features of the musical and lyrical heritage with examples of customs and traditions that characterize the countries of the Philippines, Indonesia and Palestine.

 

 

 

The opera season program continues on its various theaters with 12 concerts for the Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble for Arab music, three concerts for the Talent Development Center, the Sayed Darwish Heritage Ensemble, the Easter Concert for the Umm Al-Nour Choir, two concerts for a religious singing troupe, a conservatory orchestra, two events of the Opera Cinema Club, as well as an episode of the Wahabiyat series.
