‘Defile 19’, modern dance performance combating global pandemic

CAIRO – 29 March 2021: The Modern Theatrical Dance Troupe presents its latest artistic performance entitled "Defile 19" on April 1-3 on Al-Gomhoriya Theater.

Director of the performance Walid Aouni says that the show deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on humanity from a different perspective, as it seeks to spread positive energy through bright paintings embellished with colors and cheerful flowers that express humanity's dreams of returning to normal life.

It is noteworthy that the Modern Theatrical Dance Troupe is the first of its kind in the Arab world, as it was founded in 1993 and achieved many successes, participating in many international festivals in various countries, including China, Korea, America and European countries.

The troupe won the Best Performance Award in the National Theater Festival for the Blue Elephant film in 2015.
