CAIRO – 23 March 2021: The Supreme Council of Culture will launch an artistic competition organized by the Committee for Plastic Arts and Architecture, in cooperation with the Conference Secretariat of the Council for Plastic Artists under the age of 35.

This comes in light of the council’s belief in the necessity to present young talents and support them, encouraging creativity in general and the creativity of women in particular.

The council stated that interested plastic artists must submit their works (one or two works maximum) at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Culture from April 21-30, and fill out the attached form. The contest result will be announced on May 20, 2021.

The announcement of the winners coincides with the opening of an exhibition in the foyer of the council, which includes selected samples from some of the works of the competition. The exhibition will run until May 28, 2021.

The fields of participation in the exhibition’s competition include sculptures (ceramics - sculpture) and surfaces (oil painting - drawing - all kinds of graphics - textile arts of all kinds).
