CAIRO - 21 March 2021: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Abdel Meneim Terras attended on Sunday the signing of a cooperation agreement between AOI and IKEN company which works in the digital technology domain.


The agreement, signed at AOI headquarters, was inked by major general Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim, the director general of AOI and engineer Hossam Reda el Gamal, the managing director of IKEN in the presence of Minister of Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik.
 

A statement issued by AOI on Sunday said the agreement is part joint cooperation on projects benefiting from technical, logistic and investment potentials the two sides enjoy to magnify benefits in the fields of digitalization, artificial intelligence and the internet.
 

According to the statement, minister Talaat asserted the importance boosting the manufacturing capabilities and building a base of national cadres in the fields of technological industries to meet the development needs of the state.
 

In a recorded message, minister Tawfiq said his ministry is carrying out an ambitious national project to install the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in 63 companies at costs of 50 million dollars.
 

For his part, Terras highlighted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to support local industrialization and digital technology transfer to provide e-services according to international standards.
