CAIRO – 7 March 2021: The Egyptian-Sudanese relations have far-reaching historical roots, and the political and social ties that bind the two countries are greater than any other two countries in Africa and the regional environment, as well as the consistency of positions and visions on a number of issues and pivotal files in the continent and the region, Businessman Ayam Al-Gamil stated.
"The leadership of the two countries deeply believes in the importance of exceptional relations, and is constantly working to consolidate them,” he added.
Gamil noted that the past period has witnessed strong coordination through mutual visits and the President's reception of the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs in Cairo a few days ago, and finally his visit to Khartoum and sending him very important messages about relations and joint coordination and Egypt's serious and permanent work for the security, stability and interests of the brothers in Sudan.
The businessman clarified that President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi's quick visit to Sudan, on Saturday, is a very important event in terms of political relations and common ties with the brother country, and the vital files of common interest that bring Cairo to Khartoum, which was exemplified by the dialogue sessions and discussions with the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk, in addition to President Sisi's messages that confirmed the strength of relations, the unity of destiny and interests between the people of the Nile Valley.
He emphasized that Cairo and Khartoum have a solid historical heritage that makes the peoples of the two countries united, and that Egypt and Sudan are one nation that contains Egyptians and Sudanese in love and equality without distinction or feeling alienated.
This matter is firmly established by the two leaderships and peoples, as it is the strength and the main engine for the continuation of rapprochement and durability of relationships and consensus in visions and goals on the level of all local and regional files and issues, he noted.
Gamil explained that the most important file is the Renaissance Dam file, in which the two countries play an important role in the framework of enhancing efforts to calm down, consolidate security and stability, and safeguard the interests of all parties, which provides a very accurate and clear picture to the outside world.
He affirmed Egypt and Sudan’s respect for the law and international charters, and the rights of all parties to development and stability, without prejudice to the strategic interests or bypassing the stable and established historical rights.
The businessman stressed that the continuation of cooperation and coordination between Egypt and Sudan guarantees the achievement of the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples, especially in light of the expansion of coordination and joint work on development and economic axes, and the exploitation of the huge capabilities and capabilities of the two sides in order to promote development and advance the process of construction and prosperity.
President El-Sisi clearly affirmed in his recent messages from the heart of Khartoum, by stressing Egypt's full support for Sudan's stability and development, and employing the state's capabilities, capabilities and experiences of its people in supporting the brotherly country and the efforts of its institutions seeking to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese and establish security, stability and pillars of sustainable development.
