CAIRO - 14 February 2021: Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla met Sunday with chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie, chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Yehia Zaki and officials of Mercuria Energy Group Ltd. to discuss efforts to enhance Egypt’s role as an integrated hub of ship supply services.

Molla stressed the importance of the geographic and strategic location of Egyptian ports and assured Mercuria representatives about business incentives and infrastructure. All needed depots are available, the minister said, noting that this should help maximize the value added.

The meeting took up a plan and map of action, with participants stressing the need to complete the statements of conditions that should be submitted.
