ِEgypt disburses LE 2.18M in grants for irregular workers in Qena

CAIRO – 24 January 2021: The Manpower Directorate in Qena Governorate disbursed grants to irregular workers, with a total of LE 2.182 million for 4,238 workers, of which 523 health care workers allocated LE 73.81 thousand, according to Minister of Manpower Mohammad Saafan,

 

Saafan added in a statement, Sunday, that the number of registered employees in employment offices reached 2,168 young people, in addition to issuing 849 certificates for measuring skill level and a license to practice a profession for workers in various professions.

 

This came in a report that the Minister received from the Manpower Directorate in Qena about its achievements last December, in which it indicated that 630 establishments were inspected by workers, and that 93 labor reports were issued through labor inspectors, in addition to receiving 7 labor complaints. Including the judiciary, and the remaining 5 complaints are still under investigation and study.

 

The Directorate has also inspected, through the offices of occupational safety and health, at the governorate level of 159 establishments, as part of the follow-up to the implementation of the precautionary measures set by the state to prevent the spread of "Covid-19", and to reduce the number of workers there to preserve their health.
