CAIRO - 14 January 2021: The Cabinet, under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, on Thursday approved a draft resolution to establish a private free zone; namely "Abu Qir Container Terminal Company".

 
The new company will be erected at Alexandria's Abu Qir port, on an area of 597,000 square meters.
 
Under the draft resolution, the free zone will be responsible for carrying out all activities related to designing, establishing, managing and operating a container terminal at Abu Qir Port in Alexandria.
 
The Cabinet also gave its green light to sign a power purchase agreement for the 500-megawatt BOO wind farm in the Gulf of Suez, which is constructed by the consortium of (Engie-Toyota- Orascom Construction).
