CAIRO - 13 January 2021: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el-Molla announced a new initiative envisaging further aviation fuel prices of 15 cents cut that is equivalent to LE 2.35 per gallon.

During a meeting with Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Anani Wednesday, el-Molla said the new drive will be effective as of Jan.21 till the end of 2021, adding that the step is meant to boost both tourism and petroleum sectors, as well as help them burst out of the current economic slump due to the untoward impact of the current coronavirus pandemic.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said during the meeting the two ministers discussed a number of issues related to promoting tourism, in addition to introducing incentive programs to lure more tourists.

On his part, the minister of tourism lauded the initiative, saying that it would contribute a great deal to increasing tourist influx to Egypt and encourage world tour operators to organize more trips to the country.
