CAIRO – 6 January 2021: Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea issued a decision to continue stopping the export of all kinds of beans for a period of 3 months, starting from the date of its publication in the Egyptian Gazette.

 

Gamea clarified, Wednesday, that the decision stipulated permitting the export of quantities surplus to the needs of the local market and estimated by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, and after the approval of the Minister of Trade and Industry.

 

She stated that the decision came after full coordination with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, in implementation of the government's comprehensive plan to provide citizens' needs of commodities, especially basic commodities.

 

The minister explained that this is among the precautionary measures implemented by the state to confront the repercussions of the spread of the new coronavirus, during the current stage.
