Arab banking conference in Sharm el Sheikh to discuss obstacles facing banking sector during COVID-19

CAIRO - 18 October 2020: Union of Arab Banks (UAB) and the Central Bank of Egypt are expected to hold an Arab banking conference in Sharm el Sheikh under the title “banking industries and the future of financial services” on November 13-15.


The conference will tackle the latest developments concerning the banking industries as well as shedding light on opportunities and challenges facing these industries after the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

In a press release, Secretary General of the union Wissam Fattouh said the conference will also discuss the central banks in the digital era as well as the banks’ strategies to establish digital banks.
 

The conference will be attended by a number of Arab banking leaders to discuss obstacles facing Arab banking sector during the coronavirus pandemic.
