CAIRO – 29 June 2017: Qatari riyal is no longer accepted in transactions of British branch of the international exchange company Travelex on the currency devaluation, the company announced Thursday.

Other international foreign banks and exchange companies also stopped using the Qatari riyal, official sources from Travelex told Al-Arabiya.

Qatari nationals, who traveled to Europe, the United States and Asia were not able to exchange the Qatari riyal abroad, Doha News reported.

The diplomatic rift between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt has prompted banking institutions to put the Qatari riyal under surveillance on dropping.
