Egypt's Ministry of Finance bans revenues collection out of e-system

CAIRO - 19 July 2020: Ministry of Finance announced Sunday that all sate administrative bodies are banned from concluding any bilateral contracts or agreements with banks or companies on revenues collection away from the electronic revenues collection system.

 
In a circular on the aforementioned decision, the ministry appealed to financial and auditing departments to abide by all guidelines stipulated by the ministry on this score.
 
The e-payment system has recently been introduced to widen the scope and purpose of e-government.
 
All payment and collection operations and procedures should be linked to the ministry's e-system, run by e-Finance, the national developer of digital payment, the ministry said.
 
The ministry further designated its representatives to follow up the implementation of all relevant directives.
