PM: Achieving citizens interests tops countries' priorities in coming phase

CAIRO - 18 May 2020: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said placing citizens' interests will top the list of priorities of world countries within the coming stage.

During his participation Monday in the second round of a symposium addressing the economic situation in the wake of the novel coronavirus, Madbouli highlighted the importance of contacting experts in all fields in this regard, especially sectors bearing the greatest brunt of the current situation.

The prime minister underscored the importance of taking all concerns and evaluations raised by experts into consideration, with a view to maintaining hard-won economic progress and overcoming the adverse fallout .

The meeting was held at the General Authority for Investments and Free Zones (GAFI).

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el Said also participated in the gathering.

On her part, the minister said the whole world is working on co-existing with the situation that afflicted many sectors, which will strike a major change in the world's economic plan, along with trade relations among countries as a result on the economic shock of the Covid-19.

GAFI Executive Director Mohamed Abdul Wahab, a galaxy of experts, university professors and businessmen took part in the gathering.
