House approves bill amending some provisions of income tax law

CAIRO - 21 April 2020: The House of Representatives approved in principal a draft law submitted by the government to amend some provisions of income tax law no. 91/ 2005.

House Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said the final vote will be held Wednesday during a plenary session.

The bill includes changing article no. 8 that sets taxes and income brackets.

It also amends article 87 bis that stipulates levying an additional 20% tax on the difference between the final tax value and the tax value stated in the tax return.
