Indonesian delegation briefed on SCZone investment opportunities

CAIRO - 24 February 2020: A delegation of the Indonesian Embassy in Egypt Monday visited the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), the new quays of Ain El Sokhna Port as well as the mega projects in the area.

SCZone Chairman Yahia Zakaria met the delegation, which was led by Commercial Attache of the Embassy Irman Adi Purwanto Moefth, and discussed potential cooperation and investment opportunities.

Zakaria briefed the delegation on the industrial sectors of the economic zones, according to a statement issued by the SCZone.

He also reviewed the privileges of the business climate in the economic zones as well as the key projects carried out by the SCZone as regards the infrastructure and renovating the ports.

The SCZone head asserted the keenness of the Indonesian government on getting first hand information about the economic zone.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian commercial attache affirmed his country's keenness on boosting cooperation with Egypt in various domains.

The embassy intents to establish an Indonesian company at the SCZone, the commercial attache said, adding that the zone possesses massive investment potentials that encourage building partnerships.
