Presidential decree approves loan deal with AFESD

CAIRO - 20 February 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree on Thursday approving a 40-million Kuwaiti dinar loan agreement between the Egyptian government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).

The loan is meant to finance the second stage of a project for developing the national electricity transmission network.

The agreement was signed in August 2018 and approved by the parliament in February 2019.
