500 engineering companies encourage buying local products

CAIRO - 19 February 2020: Chairman of the Chamber of Engineering Industries Mohamed el Mohandes announced the participation of 500 companies from the engineering sector in the presidential initiative to encourage buying local products which is due to be launched early in March to support the national industry.

In statements to MENA, Mohandes said that the sectors targeted by the initiative are those connected with the durable goods and consumer goods and the sectors of home and electric appliances to vitalize trade movement in the local market.

The Egyptian government approved on Tuesday the executive plans for implementing the six-month initiative to encourage buying local products.
