CAIRO - 21 January 2020: Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Gamea said on Tuesday that the World Bank financed around 450,000 small projects in Egypt.

She added during a visit of a World Bank delegation to a number of projects in Egypt, that these projects offered more than 640,000 jobs nationwide.

The delegates are visiting a number of projects that are financed by the bank in Aswan, according to a statement by the ministry.

The World Bank is one of the most important partners to Egypt, she said, adding that an agreement was signed with the bank at a value of 200 million dollars for financing small projects.

She lauded efforts made by the Ministry of International Cooperation for providing finance to these projects through international agreements with global foundations and donor countries, added the statement.
