CAIRO - 27 December 2019: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Friday followed up the developments of an initiative aiming to supply the citizens with goods and products at low prices and encourage them to buy the local products.

This came during Mabdouli's meeting with Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Saeed, Finance Minister Mohamed Maeit, Social Solidarity Minister Nevin el Kabbaj, and other senior officials, the cabinet's spokesman Nader Saad said.

Madbouli said that the initiative comes in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to encourage factories to boost their production to accommodate the growing needs of the local market.

The meeting reviewed the suggested features of the initiative, which is based on offering discounts on purchasing some local goods.

The meeting also reviewed the goals of the initiative, the targeted groups, the participating companies and factories, proposed discount percentages and funding mechanisms.
