PM issues decree restructuring economic ministerial committee

CAIRO - 27 December 2019: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli issued a decree on Friday to amend article no. 3371 of 2016 in order to re-organize the economic ministerial committee.

Under the new amendment, the economic ministerial committee, chaired by the prime minister, will group the governor of the Central Bank of Egypt along with the ministers of planning and economic development, finance, international cooperation, trade and industry and public enterprises sector.

According to the decree, the chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) will be authorized to attend the meetings of the committee which will convene at least three times monthly.
