CAIRO - 19 December 2019: Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar had talks on Thursday with a delegation from Toyota international on the company's current and future projects in Egypt.

The two sides discussed the company's contribution to Egypt's project aiming at converting all means of public transportation to run on natural gas instead of traditional fuel in order to benefit from Egypt's huge natural gas resources.

In a statement on Thursday, the minister said the government is deeply interested in accomplishing this project and is looking forward to the contribution of more international automobile companies.

He said Toyota can offer great contribution to the project in view of its experience in the Egyptian market.

For his part, the Toyota regional director in Africa said the company is keen on expanding its work in the Egyptian market, adding that this project will help cut greenhouse gas emissions.
