CAIRO - 6 November 2019: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Said al-Assar witnessed the signing of an agreement between Maasara Engineering Industries Company, Jaz Metro Industries and Elsewedy Electrometerto establish a joint stock company specialized in the production of gas meters named MaasaraGazz Metro.

The signing took place in the presence of Chairman of the Federation of Industries Mohamed el-Sewedy, Chairman of EGAS Osama el-Nukaly, Deputy Chairman of EGAS for Planning and Projects Mostafa Helal on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The signing of this contract comes to emphasize the Ministry of Military Production's strategy that encourages contribution to the implementation of national projects, and development for the benefit of various ministries and institutions in the country as well as the citizens.

According to the agreement, the Maasara Gazz Metro Company is responsible for setting up and operating a factory for the manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of all types of natural gas consumption meters.

For his part, Mohamed el-Sewedy expressed his confidence that this company is an important step towards increasing the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry and deepening local manufacturing through exploiting the great technological and manufacturing capabilities of the Ministry of Military Production in cooperation with the private sector.

EmadZakiel-Sewedy, chairman of ElSewedy Electrometer Company, pointed out that Maasara Gas Metro Company will start production in January 2020 with a production capacity of 1 million meters annually.
