Foreign currency stable, GBP surpasses LE 23 for buying

CAIRO – 14 June 2017: Foreign currency exchange rates remained stable against the Egyptian pound in Wednesday banking transactions, with the U.S. dollar exchange standing at an average of LE 18.04 for buying and LE 18.14 for selling.

Meanwhile, the euro recorded an average of LE 20.22 for buying and LE 20.33 for selling, according to rates published by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The British pound marked LE 22.95 for selling and went up to LE 23.04 for buying, compared to LE 22.84 the day before.

Arab currencies remained stable against the Egyptian pound as the Saudi riyal marked LE 4.81 for buying and LE 4.83 for selling, and the Emirati dirham recorded LE 4.91 for selling and LE 4.93 for buying.

The Kuwaiti dinar stabilized as well at LE 59.39 for buying and LE 59.78 for selling.
