CBE: LE144.2B worth of loans to small, medium-sized firms since 2016

CAIRO - 25 August 2019: The Central Bank of Egypt said Sunday that the total value of loans given to small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to LE 144.2 billion during the period from January 2016 through June 2019.

Small companies received a total of LE 84.4 billion during that period, according to CBE statistics obtained by MENA Sunday.

The portfolio of loans offered to medium-sized firms reached LE 45.9 billion, while micro-sized facilities got LE 13.9 billion, the CBE stated.
