CAIRO – 5 March 2019: Cabinet members, businessmen and high profile companies were honored Monday in a dazzling award ceremony "BT100" held by Egypt's leading economics magazine, Business Today.

The annual event is organized to honor top influential figures and companies positively impacting the Egyptian economy. It was attended by Cabinet members, high profile businessmen, start-ups, influential companies, celebrities and journalists.

BT100 is a tribute to the leaders of the governmental and private sectors, and corporate for their important and effective role in improving the Egyptian economy. The ceremony aims at encouraging other companies to improve their performance, and develop their marketing methods and their selling skills.

The names of the cabinet members were announced after Chairperson and Editor-in-Chief Khaled Salah gave his opening speech, where he thanked the attendees of the exceptional night and highlighted the sincere efforts to boost Egypt's economy by all officials and individuals.

"The positive performance indicators in Egypt’s economy are evident in the improvement of int’l institutions and credit ratings, certificates by the International Monetary Fund on growth efficiency and the government’s ability to manage to reform process," Salah said.

The first award was received by Trade Minister Amr Nassar on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. The names of the ministers were then called out in a row to be honored for their work and contribution to the country's economic development over the past years.

The list of honored ministers include: Minister of Housing & Urban Communities; Assem El Gazzar; Minister of State for Military Production, Mohamed El Assar; Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Mohamed Shaker; Minister of Social Solidarity; Ghada Wali; Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Sahar Nasr; Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Tarek El Molla; Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs; Nabila Makram;The Minister of Antiquities, Khaled al Anani; Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Aly El Moselhy; Minister of Higher Education and Scientific research, Khaled Atef; Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform, Hala El Saeed; Minister of Culture, Enas Abdel Dayem; Minister of Tourism, Rania El Mashat; Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Amr Nassar, Minister of Trade and Industry; Hesham Tawfik, Minister of Public Enterprise Sector; Minister for Education and Technical Education, Tarek Shawki; Ezz El Din Abu Steit, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; Air Marshal Younes Al Masry, Minister of Civil Aviation; Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population; Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment and Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait.

A line up of key business individuals and leading companies that invested their resources and money, and helped transform the country's economy took the stage at BT100 award ceremony.

The ceremony honored top corporates including the Commercial International Bank, National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr for their leadership roles in different sectors.

The Commercial International Bank was honored for its exemplary leadership in digital transformation, while the National Bank of Egypt received recognition for its exceptional performance in corporate financing.

BT100 honored as well Banque Misr as the leading bank in CSR initiatives, and Banque Du Caire for its advanced growth in micro-financing, and EG Bank for Dominant innovation in digital banking technologies, and Mountain View for the exceptional innovative & creative solutions in the real estate sector.

The awards went for Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, chairman of CIB, Hesham Okasha, Executive Chairman of National Bank of Egypt, Al Sayed Qaiser, Chairman of the Agricultural Bank, Tarek Fayed, Chief Executive Officer of Banque Du Caire, Fathy El Sebai, Chairman of Housing and Development Bank, and Amr Soliman Chairman of Mountain View.

Hisham Talaat Mostafa, CEO & Managing Director of Talaat Moustafa Group, Ahmed Sabour, CEO and Managing Director of Al Ahly Real Estate Development Company, Khaled Nosseir, Founder and Chairman of Alkan Group and Mohamed Farid Khamis Chairman of Oriental Weavers had their share of honoring.
