CAIRO - 21 January 2019: Investment Minister Sahar Nasr said on Monday the ministry will provide more support to the private sector within the coming period to pump more investments.
The ministry's support will come either in the form of finding radical solutions to many problems facing investors or amending any regulations or laws that obstruct investments.
The minister gave the remarks during a meeting with investors representing 16 companies.
The ministry and the General Authority of Investments and Free Zones (GAFI) are working hard to iron out hurdles facing investors, she said.
Some of the investors talked about their future plans which include having a joint stock company for investing in renewable energy, building a seawater desalination plant and pumping more investments in the educational, industrial, agricultural and food security domains.
