US stocks end at records following strong economic data

NEW YORK - 2 June 2017: Wall Street stocks powered to fresh records Thursday following a batch of mostly strong economic data that raised expectations for Friday's US jobs report.

At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 21,140.99, up 0.6 percent.
The broad-based S&P 500 rose 0.7 percent to end the session at 2,429.64, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 0.7 percent to 6,244.42.
