Egypt-Sudan power grid link project cost over $20 mln - SETCO chief

KHARTOUM - 25 December 2018: Sudan's power grid linkage project with Egypt cost Khartoum over $20 million, Director General of the Sudanese Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (SETCO) Hassan Omar al-Sheikh said Monday.

In a statement, Sheikh added that transmitting power reaches up to 300 MW at 220 kV.

The volume is planned to hit 3,000 MW at 500 kV, the Sudanese official said.
