New capital company, Petroleum Ministry seal deal to build cooling plant

CAIRO - 3 December 2018: Chairman of the New Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development Ahmed Zaki Abdeen signed Sunday an agreement with the Petroleum Ministry to establish a central cooling plant in the New Capital.

This comes as part of government efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in new cities and to rationalize the use of energy, Abdeen said.

The plant should be the biggest project in the Middle East and would help achieve a quantum leap where the economy is concerned, he added.
