BERLIN - 30 October 2018: President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG Joe Kaeser said Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi achieved unprecedented development, especially in the infrastructure domain.

He made the remarks on Tuesday during the investment forum in Berlin which is sponsored by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and attended by President Sisi, a number of African presidents and heads of several heavyweight German companies.

Kaeser said Siemens is proud for its long-term work in Egypt, adding that no country in the world managed to realize the all-out development which Egypt realized over this short period.

He added that Siemens in tandem with Egyptian companies established three mammoth power stations in Egypt, hailing the efficiency of Egyptian engineers and technicians.

He voiced hope that several countries would follow Egypt's example.

He underlined the importance of the G20 Partnership with Africa as it will help developing companies and, hence, generate jobs in Africa.

He noted that he visited a number of African countries and he was astonished of the African youths' persistence and keenness to develop their skills.

He added that African countries are keen on engaging in partnerships with European countries, especially Germany, to develop their industries, hone their technical cadres and lure more investments.
