Egypt’s non-petroleum exports hit $14.9B in 1st seven months of 2018

CAIRO - 16 September 2018: Egypt’s exports of non-petroleum products hit dlrs 14.892 billion from January to July 2018, marking a 14.3 percent rise in comparison with the same period last year.

According to a report which Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar received, Egypt’s imports of non-petroleum exports stood at $38.156 billion at a 15.28 percent rise.

Trade exchange between Egypt and the US in non-petroleum products was estimated at $3.822 billion in the first seven months of 2018, at a 29.2 percent uptick in comparison with the same period last year.

Trade exchange between Egypt and African states, excluding Arab countries, stood at $1.447 billion in the first seven months of 2018 against $1.195 billion in the same period last year.

Commodities trade exchange between Egypt and Arab countries rose by 11.8 percent to stand at $7.946 billion in the first seven months of 2018.

Foreign trade between Egypt and the EU registered $16.248 billion in the first seven months of 2018, at a 5.2 percent rise in comparison with the corresponding period last year.
